2. Preparations
2.1 Inserting/Replacing Battery
The unit requires a 9 V battery (6LR61) for operation. Having a low battery, the
battery icon (I)
appears on the display. For proper performance, it is
advisable to change the battery as soon as possible then.
Attention! Pay attention to the safety notes!
1.
Turn the unit off and remove all test leads from the sockets before
you open the back of the unit!
2. Loosen the two screws of the battery compartment (on the top of the back
of the unit) and remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Install a new battery. Pay attention to the proper polarity of the battery. The
polarity is printed inside the battery compartment. Then close the battery
compartment with the cover.
4. Secure the battery compartment with the two screws.
Only use the unit when the battery compartment has been properly installed.
2.2 Using Test Leads
Only use the supplied test leads when using the digital multimeter. These have
an electric strength of up to 600 V. The supplied test leads have a current
carrying capacity of up to 10 A.
