Start-up and Operation
Inserting / Replacing the Batteries
Grasp the battery compartment lid (12) from the backside of the device
by lightly pressing the opening latch and remove the lid.
Insert 3 batteries of the type LR03 (AAA) 1.5 V, observe the right
polarity (see the fig. in the battery compartment).
If the battery icon (C) appears on the display the batteries have to be
replaces. Replace the batteries as soon as possible in order to avoid
battery leakage and not to damage the device.
To save battery, the device automatically switches off after 2 minutes.
The last measuring result will be saved. To display the measuring
result, press the “Start/Stop“ button
(10). On the display the value
appears and flashes.

„Start/Stop“ button – switches on the device, starts
and stops the measuring. By pressing
Stop

displayed
measuring value flashes
– by pressing
again measuring can be continued.
By pressing, the right edge of the housing serves as
reference.
By pressing, the left edge of the housing serves as
reference.
Setting Points – Press the button as often as the
distance is to be divided in part-distances (max. 10
intermediate points) - the setting points are displayed.

Delete the measuring results from the display – The
display shows „0.000“.
MARK
Mechanical Marker – will mark the surface with a small
dimple (on wallpaper).

Simultaneously pressing and keep holding the buttons
for 6 seconds activate the switching-over of the
measuring units – from „Feet/Inch“ to „Inch“ and after
pressing 6 seconds again from „Inch“ to „Meter“.
