Selection of the meat type and the cooking status:
1. Select the type of meat by pressing the
MEAT
button. Each
press of the button changes the meat type to:
BEEF - VEAL - LAMB - PORK - CHICKEN - TURKEY
2. Select the desired cooking status with the
TASTE
button. The
selected cooked state is indicated on the display. Each press
of the button changes the cooking status to:
WELL DONE – MEDIUM– MEDIUM RARE– RARE
Information: The setting of the cooking status is dependent on
the type of meat, therefore pork can only be cooked MEDIUM
or WELL DONE.
Recommended temperatures:
Measuring the temperature and cooking status of the meat:
1 Remove the cover cap of the measuring tip.
2. Insert the measuring tip of the barbeque fork into the
thickest part of the meat. Try and insert this as centrally as
possible.
3. Hold the measuring tip in the meat for at least 15 to 20
seconds in order to ascertain the exact temperature.
4. The temperature and the cooking status of the meat will
appear in the upper section of the display.
5. If the cooking status changes during the measuring, then
the indication on the display also changes.
6. When the selected cooking status is reached, then the
display flashes and a signal sounds.
7. Press the MEAT or TASTE button in order to delete the
indication on the display and to stop the acoustic signal.
Second measurement:
Please observe that in case of a second measurement, the
temperature will be indicated more quickly as the measuring
tip is still warm.
