After each use, clean the probes with a soft cloth.
Hints
Do not mistake the wood moisture with the water content or equate these
values; you have to convert the value. Wood moisture refers to kiln dried weight,
i. e. absolutely dry wood and the water content refers to the proportion of water
amount and damp weight of wood (bulk density of damp wood).

Freshly cut wood has a wood moisture of >50%. This equates to >100 % of
relative wood humidity.
General Values regarding Wood Moisture Balance
Measuring Temperature
The unit is set to measuring temperatures by setting the slide switch (9) to
“TEST” or “CAL”.
On the bottom display the current temperature is displayed. The value is
updated every 5 seconds.
To measure the ambient temperature, avoid touching the temperature
measuring probe (7).
You can use the probe (7) to measure the temperature on a surface (e. g. a
component, motor, heating element, radiator, etc.). Hold the probe against
the surface of the object you intend to measure. The temperature range is
between - 20°C and +70°C (-4°F - 158°F).
After changing the location, wait for 5 - 10 minutes before taking
measurements in order to allow the unit to acclimate.
