GROUND-Adjusting
Ground adjustments avoid interferences
when searching on mineral grounds.
These interferences can skew the
measurements.
Take a little time for adjusting, you will
get stable and exact result after
adjusting.
Turn the switch
MODE
to
VLF
and hold the coil approx. 1 – 5 cm above the
ground. If the pointer moves, adjust the knob
GROUND
until the pointer is in the
central position again.
Lift up the coil for approx. 30 cm and press the red initial button
PUSH
. The
pointer has to be exactly in the zero position.
Repeat this adjustment until the position of the pointer does not change when
lifting or lowering the coil.
Now the detector is adjusted to the condition of the ground at this location. Do not
press the red initial
PUSH
button on this location again, only if you change the
location.
Metal Discrimination (DISCRIMINATION)
The metal differentiating allows you to exactly discriminate different metals in the
same class.
Turn the knob
MODE
to
TR2
and turn the knob
DISCRIMINATION
to central
position.
While searching, turn the knob
DISCRIMINATION
according to the indicated
results. Turning the direction to
MAX
means higher sensitivity or discrimination, in
direction
MIN
lower sensitivity of discrimination. Example: In the setting
MAX
small objects like metal foils, crown caps are faded out but the device can
differentiate between larger aluminium and gold objects.
Now you can estimate the quantity of the part and also the quality rating of the
founded objects.
Re-adjust this setting by searching on another location. Please note that using
this adjustment demands some training and first of all experience. Practise the
device with common objects to learn the individual adjustments.
