Using
Cleaning
Before cleaning, allow the unit to cool down and unplug the power plug!
Do not immerse the unit in water or liquids of any kind!
Use a moist cloth to clean the housing and allow the unit to dry
completely before the next use.
For thoroughly cleaning remove the filter cage. The permanent filter,
the filter holder, and the glass pot can be cleaned with hot water and
detergent. Do not clean them in the dishwasher.
Do not use metal or sharp objects, these may damage the surfaces. Do
not use abrasives, aggressive chemicals or the likes.
Depending on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use, the
machine should be decalcified from time to time.
Soft water
= every 6 months
Normal water
= every 2 - 3 months
Hard water
= every 6 - 8 weeks
Do not use vinegar, but rather a customary decalcifying agent based on
citric acid. Follow the instructions of the manufacturer of the decalcify-
ing agent.
