Parallel Side Fence
Use the included parallel side fence (12) for
making cuts parallel to a wood edge. Please
note that the parallel side fence can be
mounted from both sides on the base plate
(6).
1. To install the parallel side fence, slide it
through the mounting holes in the base
plate (6). With the centimetre scale on
the parallel side fence you can precisely
set the distance between the edge and the saw blade.
2. With the screws (9) in the base plate the parallel side fence can
now be fixed securely.
Dust Extraction
The jig saw can be connected with a dust extractor or a vacuum
cleaner via the included adaptor (4). When connecting an extractor
or vacuum cleaner push the slider (10) of the dust blower forward to
cut off the airstream of the dust blower.
Always use a dust removal, if possible, or at least a dust mask for
your own safety.
Maintenance, Cleaning and Storing
While cleaning, always disconnect the unit from the power
supply.
After every use clean the unit of wood dusts with a hand brush or
a cloth. You must particularly clean regularly the air exhaust of
the machine. The machine can overheat if the exhausts are
closed.
Maintenance and repair work can only be done by a qualified
technician. You can also contact the Westfalia Service.
