Operation
Set the pendulum stroke
to
0
for cutting metal, dense particle board or thin material,
to
1
for plastics and plywood
and to
2
or
3
for chipboard hard- and softwood.
Caution:
Because of the additional vertical movement, the cutting
edges will be torn out more as if working without pendulum. The
surface coatings of wood plate especially tend to fray because of
their refractory structure when working with additional pendulum.
Making Bevel Cuts
You can make bevel cuts to 45° with this jig
saw if you angle the base plate.
1. Pull the dust extraction adapter (4) off the
base plate. Use the included hex key
(14) to slightly loosen the interior hex
screws (13) at the bottom side of the
base plate.
Attention:
Do not undo the Interior hex
head screws too much as this will completely disassemble the
base plate from the machine.
2. After loosening, pull the base plate slightly back until the metal
pin in the housing disengages from the base plate. Now you can
adjust the base plate to the angle desired and you can fix it in
that position by pushing forward and tightening the interior hex
head screws. On the curved side of the base plate you will find
the scale with the respective angle settings.
