Operation
1. First of all, find the centre of the
workpiece as exactly as possible and
mark its position.
2. Place the workpiece on the face
plate and adjust until the marked
centre of the workpiece is in line with
the middle of the central hole in the
face plate. You can now mark the
fastening points on the workpiece
through the other holes in the face
plate.
Depending on the type of wood, it may be necessary to pre-drill
holes in the fastening points so that the wood does not crack when
screwing in the fastening screws.
3. You can now fasten the workpiece onto the face plate using wood
screws and screw the face plate onto the shaft (fig. 9).
Selecting and Changing Speeds
The correct speed depends on a number of factors, including the type
of wood and the diameter of the workpiece.
The harder the wood, the higher the rotational speed should be.
The diameter of the workpiece also determines
the ideal rotational speed as the speed of the
workpiece surface is decisive.
And the smaller the diameter of a workpiece, the
lower the surface speed with the same rotational
speed.
The smaller the workpiece, the higher the speed
shoud be.
The RWL 1000 offers four different speeds. You
can see which transmission stage is currently
being used by the drive belt by looking through
the window (A) located at an angle above the
ON/OFF switch.
