Maintenance
Switch off the engine prior to maintain the lawn mower and pull the spark plug
cable. Always allow the lawn mower to cool down sufficiently. Please mind that
the engine, the muffler and other parts are still hot. There is risk of burns.
Pull also the spark plug cable
-
If the machine is unattended,
-
when disturbances occur,
-
after clearing blockages or unclogging the discharge opening,
-
after the contact of foreign objects
-
the machine vibrates abnormally.
Check the oil level before each operation.
Check the fuel level before using the machine again.
Preferably replace the engine oil after approx. 20 hours of operation.
Clean resp. replace the air filter after approx. 50 hours of operation.
Inspect the spark plug after approx. 20 hours of operation. If necessary,
clean the spark plug with a copper wire brush. Replace the spark plug
after approx. 50 hours of operation.
Oil Level Check
Only check the oil level by switched off engine and make sure the lawn mower
is standing horizontally.
1. Turn the dipstick (14) counter clockwise and remove from the oil filler
neck. Clean the dipstick and insert into the oil filler neck (do not screw in!).
2. Remove the dipstick again and check the oil level. If the oil level is up to
MAX = the oil level is sufficient,
MIN = the oil level is low.
Oil Alert System
The Oil Alert System will stop the engine before the oil level falls below the
safe limit. In this case it will not be possible to start the engine, or it will cut-out
automatically after a short running time. Starting the engine again will only be
possible after re-filling the oil tank. If the lawn mower is tilted for more than 30°
(e. g. while mowing on very steep slopes) it might happen that the oil supply
will be cut and the engine will switch off.
