Operation
Before first Use
Remove the unit and the accessory out of the packaging and check for any
damage in transit. Keep packaging materials out of reach of children. There is risk
of suffocation!
Inserting/Replacing the Saw Blade
First, make sure the power plug is not plugged into the wall socket. Use only
suitable saw blades and do not use blunt, damaged or bent saw blades.
1. Loosen the blade release (4) for the saw blade using an Allen key.
2. Insert the saw blade with the cutting side downwards. Turn the blade release
with the Allen key in order to fasten the saw blade.
3. Carefully pull the saw blade to make sure the saw blade is firmly secured.
Operating
1. Plug the power plug into a wall socket.
2. To switch ON the saw, press the ON/OFF trigger (2) and keep it pressed. To
switch OFF the saw, release the ON/OFF trigger. To increase the stroke rate,
turn the continuously adjustable stroke controller (6) to the desired speed.
The controller can be adjusted from 1 – 6 and after turning once more to the
setting MAX. The stroke rate can also be changed during operation.
3. Allow the saw blade to operate under no load and move the saw blade to the
workpiece. Only use even pressure when operating the saw. Slightly move
the saw during operation to support the saw movement and the spilling of the
splinters.
You can also use the multipurpose saw for cutting light gauge ferrous and
non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass, aluminium etc. up to a thickness of
3 mm.
When cutting thin sheet, we recommend clamping a backing sheet of soft
wood or plywood to the work as this will enable to obtain a clean cut and to
cut both pieces at the same time.
Please notice: When forcing the saw there is risk of injuries. So do not force
the blade into the metal as this will reduce the life of the blade and possible
damage the motor of the saw.
If desired, spread a thin film of oil along the proposed cutting line before
cutting.
