SCREENS ON OPERATION STARTUP
Each time the system is switched on, a number of digits are
displayed. After the start
sequence and digits, the system goes into priming mode.
MAIN SCREEN
Press Light when the
temperature is flashing.
(not applicable with menu style 2)
PREPARATION AND FILLING
Fill the spa to the correct level for use. Be careful to open all values
and jet nozzles of the pipe system before filling to allow as much
air as possible to escape from the pipes and control system during
filling.
When the power is switched on via the main panel, the panel on top
will go through specific sequences. These sequences are normal and
show information about the configuration of the spa’s control.
MAIN SCREEN
If you wait for a few seconds on the main
menu, the display returns to the main
screen.
Most changes are not saved if Light is
not pressed. See the explanation above.
Indicates a menu item that
depends on a manufacturer’s
configuration and may not be
displayed.
READY
RANGE FLTR1
STARTUP MODE – M019*
This mode lasts for 4-5 minutes, but you can exit priming mode
manually once a reading has been taken from the pumps and they
are ready. However, the sequence should be left to run in full.
*M019 is a message code.
Irrespective of whether startup finished automatically or whether
you finish it manually, the system will automatically return to normal
heating and filtering after startup. During startup, the heater is deac-
tivated in order to allow the priming process to complete without the
possibility of the power to the heating switching on during low flow
conditions or no flow. Nothing starts automatically, but the pumps
can be powered using the “Jet” buttons. If the spa has a circulation
pump, it can also be activated during startup using the Light button.
END STARTUP MODE (not recommended)
You can end startup mode manually by pressing one of the “Temp”
buttons (Up or Down). Note that, if you do not manually end startup
mode as shown above, it will automatically end after 4–5 minutes.
Check that the pumps have started.
Once startup is complete, the panel on top will temporarily display
the set temperature. However, the display will not yet show the tem-
perature, as indicated below. This is because the system requires
water to flow though the heater for approximately one minute in
order to determine and display the water
temperature.
or
PUMPS
Press the “Jets” button once to switch the pump 1 on or off, and to
toggle between low and high speed if this function is available.
If possible the pump closes down by itself after a timeout period.
The low-speed setting for pump 1 has a timeout of 30 minutes. The
high-speed setting has a timeout of 15 minutes.
In systems without circulation, pump 1 will run at low speed when
the compressor or another pump is running. If the spa is in READY
mode, pump 1 can also be activated for at least one minute every
half an hour in order to sense the temperature of the spa (polling). It
can then heat the water to the set temperature if required. When low
speed is activated automatically it cannot be deactivated from the
panel, although high speed can be started.
CIRCULATION PUMP MODES
If the system is equipped with a circulation pump, it is configured to
work in one of three ways:
1 The circulation pump runs continuously (24 hours), except for
30 consecutive minutes when the water temperature exceeds
the set temperature by 1.5°C (which is most likely to happen in
very hot climates).
2 The circulation pump runs continuously, irrespective of the
water temperature.
3
A programmable circulation pump is activated when the system
checks the temperature (polling), during filter cycles, when there
is a risk of frost or when another pump is running.
The specific circulation mode used has been determined by the
manufacturer and cannot be changed locally.
FILTERING AND OZONE GENERATOR
All Westerbergs spa tubs are equipped with an ozone generator to
ensure efficient water treatment. This is a special product for spas
that neutralises bacteria, viruses, mould and algae in a very effective
manner. It also reduces chlorine use by up to 80 %.
In circulation systems, the ozone generator runs with the circulation
pump. The system is pre-programmed at the factory with two filter
cycles, which run when the tub is switched on and has been config-
ured. The running time for filtering can be programmed.
FREEZE PROTECTION
If the temperature sensors in the heater detect a sufficiently low
temperature, the pumps and compressor will automatically activate
freeze protection. Depending on the circumstances, the pumps and
compressor are run either continuously or at regular intervals.
