6. Remove all three screws. The engine is now properly lined up.
13. Put the shaft key in the slot on the engine shaft. Refer to Fig. 4 above. Align the slot on the
pump sleeve (see Fig. 5 below) with the shaft key.
14. Gently place the pump sleeve over the engine shaft, making sure the shaft key and sleeve slot
are aligned. It may help to have an assistant hold the pump while lining things up.
15. Once the key is in the pump sleeve and the pump is partially on the engine shaft, rotate the
pump so its three mounting holes line up with the holes in the frame and in the engine
crankcase. Insert and tighten the three screws (see Fig. 3 above).
1. NOTE:
tighten all three screws hand-tight. Then tighten one screw with a 10mm socket or
wrench. Proceed in a circle. Go around the circle at least twice, making sure all screws are
securely fastened.
16. Re-install the detergent tank and wheel. Don’t forget to insert the cotter pin (refer to Fig. 4
above). Re-connect the hoses on the detergent tank and pump. Re-connect the high-pressure
hose, water supply, etc.
17. Prepare the pressure washer for operation as instructed in your owner’s manual.
