5.4 SCANTEAM 3700PDF Removal/Replacement
The application intention of the SCANTEAM 3700PDF makes it a component of the
host controlled instrument. Power to the host system must be turned off before removing
the SCANTEAM 3700PDF Machine Mount CCD. Removing the SCANTEAM
3700PDF involves reversing the steps that you followed during installation (Chapter 3).
Caution: Some circuits in the SCANTEAM 3700PDF Machine Mount CCD are sensitive to
electrostatic discharge. Be sure you are properly grounded before removing the
SCANTEAM 3700PDF from the host system.
Note: Set the host instrument power switch to the “OFF” position.
Step 1: Disconnect the data communications / power cable between the SCANTEAM
3700PDF Machine Mount CCD and the host system (see Chapter 2, Figure 2.2
for the exact location of the port on the SCANTEAM 3700PDF).
Step 2: Using a screwdriver, remove the mounting screws, if applicable, from the
SCANTEAM 3700PDF Machine Mount CCD.
Step 3: Remove the SCANTEAM 3700PDF Machine Mount CCD and place it
immediately into an antistatic container or an antistatic bag.
This completes the SCANTEAM 3700PDF Machine Mount CCD removal procedure.

Chapter 3.
