To remove the writer motor remove the two screws, item number 29, holding it to the gear assembly bracket. The
writer motor will slide through the assembly.
Use a 0.05 inch or a 1.25 mm size Allen wrench to remove the gear from the writer motor.
When installing a new writer motor into the gear assembly make sure that the writer motor gear, item # 41, is
aligned with its mating gear of the gear assembly. The set screw of the writer gear should be tightened to 4 +/- 1
lbs.-in.
Re-assemble in reverse order.
Note: The screws holding the writer motor to the gear assembly bracket are coated with Vibra-tite to reduce the
possibility of the screws vibrating loose. You may need to re-coat the screws to prevent vibration from loosening the
screws.
