6 Replacing components

6.3
Removing / fitting the casing
Tools required
M5.5 hex socket wrench
Requirements
Check that the following requirements have been met:
§
The appliance has been disconnected from the power supply and protective measures have been taken to ensure
the power cannot be switched on again.
§
The appliance is cool.
Removing the panels of the casing
Overview of all M5.5 hex head flange bolts securing the panels of the casing.

Ensure the high voltage capacitors are discharged before commencing any work
Fitting the panels of the casing
Follow the steps in the reverse order to fit the panels of the casing, ensuring all 5.5M bolts are refitted and;
1.
The side panels have been correctly slotted into the front cavity and base plate
2.
The top panel pins have been correctly slotted into the front and side panels
3.
If fitted, ensure the power coms lead is reconnected to the module (KCCM)
4.
No wires have been trapped
1.
Remove top panel first.
Unfasten the three M5.5 hex
head flange bolts at the back
panel of the appliance attaching
the top panel to the back panel.
Slide the top panel towards the
back of the appliance to remove
it.
2.
Removing the side panels:
Unfasten the six M5.5 hex head
flange bolts (three per side) at the
back panel of the appliance
attaching each side panel to the
back panel.
Slide the panels towards the back
of the appliance and out at the
bottom to remove them.
3.
Removing the back panel:
Unfasten the four M5.5 hex head flange bolts
attaching the back panel to the cooling duct (two
bolts) and the base plate (two bolts) of the
appliance.
Move the back panel up to remove it.
Important: If the optional KCCM is fitted, disconnect
the power coms lead from the module before
removing the back panel.
