• Pores in cloth grass catchers can become filled with dirt and dust with use reducing efficiency.
To prevent this, regularly hose the catcher off with water and let it dry before using.
IMPORTANT: FOR BEST PERFORMANCE, KEEP MOWER HOUSING FREE OF BUILT-UP
GRASS AND TRASH. SEE ”CLEANING” IN THE MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING SECTION OF THIS
MANUAL.
Discharging grass clippings
• When the grass catcher is full of grass clippings, a
special sensor will detect and alert the operator. A
seated operator can open the grass catcher to discharge
the grass clippings.
• Pull out the Discharging Handle A on the right
side of catcher B, and then push Handle A to the front
to open the catcher. The grass clippings will fall
down automatically from catcher B.
• Keep the catcher B open and move the unit
forward for about 1 metre to empty all the
clippings.
• Move the Handle A backwards to close the catcher and re-insert the handle.
Mulching
Mulching plug installation Fig. 14
• The unit can be changed to a mulching mower by installing a special mulching plug A.
• Open and remove the catcher using the two handles on the grass catcher.
• Insert the mulching plug A into the discharging opening until it stops on the bottom of
discharging chute B.
• Stretch the free ends of the 2 springs C attached on the handle, until they catch the
hooks D on the rear panel.
• Align the grass catcher to the rear panel and reinstall it to the unit.
Mulching tips
• The special mulching blade will re-cut the grass clippings many times and reduce them
in size so that as they fall onto the lawn they will disperse into the grass and not be noticed.
