Important information on the assembly
Electrical installation
•
The electronic wiring for the steam generator and lighting sys-
tems is fully pre-installed at the factory. An electrician must con-
nect the electrical cable to the two central junction boxes on site.
•
The voltage supply to the power supply line must not be inter-
rupted. For that reason, switches or the like are not permitted
on the supply line (power supply line).
•
Failure to adhere to the abovementioned stipulations will render
these operating instructions invalid and result in loss of the CE
certification and voiding of the warranty.
Water installation
•
For the water installation in the equipment room, the hot and
cold water pipes must be laid before the Sanoasa Wellness Multi-
centre steam shower is assembled (see the installation plan for
hot and cold water for more on this).
•
The water-carrying pipes must be rinsed before they are con-
nected. Rinsing prevents the ingress of chips and other contami-
nants into the steam generator system, which could lead to
damage.
•
The entire water-carrying system must be subjected to a pressure
and leak test by a trained specialist before sealing, tiling and
commissioning.
•
The installation must be carried out by a trained and approved
sanitary engineer.
Steam generator
•
The built-in steam generator is equipped with a water reservoir
made of stainless steel as well as acid- and rust-proof pipe ele-
ments.
•
The steam generator is automatically drained one hour after it is
switched off (automatic 4x flushing).
•
The steam generator is equipped with an electronic controller for
the water level, electronic low water-level cut-off, limescale-re-
pellent, selfcleaning electrodes, built-in safety valve, built-in tem-
perature cut-off and built-in dirt filter (splash-proof design).
Temperature cut-off:
•
The steam generator is fitted with a built-in temperature cut-off
and switches off when a temperature of 107 °C is reached in the
water reservoir.
Master switch:
•
Under the steam device there is a master switch. This built-in mas-
ter switch must be used if the system is to be repaired, main-
tained, temporarily decommissioned or is to remain switched off
for a long period of time. If a master switch is pressed (disconnec-
tion from the power supply), a notice to this effect must be affixed
to the cabin in a clearly visible location.
•
The automatic draining function stops if there is any type of
power failure. This automatic function significantly reduces
limescale deposits and contamination in the water reservoir.
•
To ensure the automatic draining and rinsing will work, a switch
possibly located between the fuse box and steam generator can
be switched off at the earliest 80 minutes after the timer is trig-
gered on the control panel.
Descaling the steam generator:
Descaling must be carried out regularly according to Table 1.3.1.
This removes limescale deposits from the walls of the container
and from the heating elements. Regular descaling extends the
service life of the steam generator. The steam generator will
quickly become damaged if it is not descaled according to Table
1.3.1. It is recommended to install a water softener in areas with
hard water, i.e. above 5° dH (German hardness).
Procedure for descaling
1. Unscrew the cap nut at the top of descaling pipe no. 1.
2. Start the steam generator and let it run until the water in the
container is boiling.
3. Switch off the steam generator and wait approx. 5 minutes.
4. Dissolve the descaling powder in 200 ml warm water (approx.
30 minutes) and, with the help of a funnel, pour into the cop-
per pipe and rinse down with approx. 300 ml water.
5. Screw the cap nut on to the copper feed pipe and tighten.
Allow the descaling agent to take effect.
6. After approx. 1 hour, the container is automatically drained and
rinsed and the steam generator can be operated again.
Descaling may only be carried out by trained specialists.
Important information:
The steam coming out of the steam outlet nozzle is hot. The temperature
of the steam is over 100°C. Never leave those in your care or those under
16 years of age unattended in the cabin. Do not place your hand into or in
front of the steam outlet while the steam generator is operating. The
steam outlet nozzle is hot while the steam generator is operating and re-
mains hot for some time thereafter. DO NOT TOUCH – RISK OF BURNING!
There are hot steam pipes inside the equipment room. RISK OF BURNING!
