Grab the recoil starter handle and pull lightly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly.
NOTE: Before you pull the recoil starter handle, please be aware of your surroundings.

Allow the engine to warm up briefly and then adjust the throttle lever accordingly.
STARTING THE ENGINE - WARM
1.
Check the engine oil. See Check Oil Level section within engine manual.
2.
Make sure the rocker arm microswitch is in the closed position.
3.
Move the throttle lever to the engine start position.
4.
Grab the recoil starter handle and pull lightly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly.
NOTE: Before you pull the recoil starter handle, please be aware of your surroundings.
5.
Allow the engine to warm up briefly and then adjust the throttle lever accordingly.
CAUTION
Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine. Return it gently to prevent damage to the
starter.
WARNING
Accessory cassettes begin to rotate as soon as the engine is started.
Never open the collector flap when the engine is running. A rotating cutting unit can cause injuries.
OPERATION
IMPORTANT:
The engine does not come with oil in it. Therefore, be sure to add oil before starting the engine. The oil level
in the engine must be checked each time before operating.
IMPORTANT:
Before starting, please check if the accessories used are attached correctly.
STARTING THE ENGINE - COLD
1.
Check the engine oil. See Check Oil Level section within engine manual.
2.
Make sure the rocker arm microswitch is in the closed position. This is located at the rear, towards the
bottom of the machine.
3.
Move the throttle lever to the engine start position.
4.
Press the Red engine primer bulb 3-5 times.
