Operating Instructions
To use the Short Finder Brush, place the on/off switch in the “ON” posi-
tion. You will hear a beep indicating the unit is ready. You will obtain the
best results using the Short Finder Brush by following these simple steps:

Remove all sources of power from the circuit being tested.
Caution:
Always make sure there is NO POWER applied to the circuit you
are testing. Although the Short Finder Brush is internally protected against
accidental external voltage to 50V, contacting a live circuit with the con-
ductive brush tip may cause damage or present a safety hazard.

Place the reference probe in contact with the circuitry location from
which you want to measure.
❸
Sweep the brush probe over the remaining circuitry. A short is indicat-
ed by an audible tone.
