PLEASE NOTE:
Please ensure this Watersnake motor is not your only
means of propulsion. Please follow the marine safety guidelines set by
your state or country of use.
CONNECTING YOUR MOTOR TO THE BATTERIES
All Watersnake wiring connections should conform to best marine standards.
Soldered, sealed and heat-shrink protected. If you doubt your ability to
produce quality waterproof connections or lack the equipment, consult a
marine technician or auto electrician.
• Your Watersnake comes factory-fi tted with a standard length of twin fl ex
wiring with ring terminals to attach to the batteries.
• Before connecting the motor’s cables to the batteries terminals, ensure all
switches are in the OFF position and stand clear of the propeller.
• Connect the red cable to the positive (+) terminal and the black cable to the
negative (-) terminal, making sure the terminals are clean before doing so.
A clean connection will minimise power wastage and give you maximum
power from the batteries.
• This Watersnake 80lb motor requires a 24V battery system. Please see an
example of two 2 x 12 volt batteries connected in series.
• If you intend to charge your batteries via an alternator or solar panel, it is
important that the batteries voltage output does not exceed 30v. If you are
unsure of the voltage your batteries will output, consult a marine technician
or auto electrician.
• When not in use please make sure that the motor is disconnected from the
batteries. This can be done by simply disconnecting the Anderson plugs.
