3. SAFETY MEASURES
Working with water hose reels is not without danger. To reduce this danger as much as
possible, we have drawn up a number of safety measures. Always follow up these
directives and always be aware of what you are doing. In this way many accidents can
be avoided.
1.
Never exceed the maximum working pressure.
2.
Keep children away from the working area.
3.
Assemble the hose reel on a wall or ceiling with fastening screws. Both the wall (or
ceiling) and the fastening screws must have sufficient bearing power.
4.
Check the hose reel and the hose regularly for leakage.
5.
The hose is not suited for drinking water.
6.
Do not drop any heavy objects on the hose and do not allow the hose to kink.
7.
Always allow clearance for the hose to avoid damage.
8.
Keep the equipment away from heat and fire, as this may damage the hose and
the hose reel.
9.
Only those persons who are aware of how to use the reel hose, by having read this
manual, should use the equipment. Injudicious use may cause danger.
10.
Do not expose the hose to temperatures below 5ºC (danger of frost)
11.
Do not expose the hose to temperatures above 45ºC (danger of damage)
12.
Do not pull the hose further than indicated length.
4. INSTALLATION
To assemble the hose reel, proceed as follows:
▪
Choose a suitable place near source of water.
▪
The reel should be installed to a wall or post horizontally. It is suggested to mount
the reel approximately 0,80 m above the ground (Fig. 4) or hanging from a ceiling
with sufficient bearing power.
▪
Drill 4 holes on the wall / post or ceiling according to the holes position of the
bracket (Fig. 6).
▪
Screw the four M8 screws accordingly, and each screw must be with spring
washer and padding (Fig. 5).
▪
Connect the reel to the mounting bracket with metal tube (Fig. 1).
▪
Connect the inlet hose with the water tap.
5. OPERATION
This hose reel with console for wall fastening has a self-rolling up reel with locking
mechanism and is provided with pvc hose.
When you pull the hose, it will unroll and when you release the hose, it will be
blocked against rolling up; this only happens in the blocking area when the hose reel
is rattling. If you want to roll up the hose, pull the hose a little bit beyond the blockade
(the hose does not rattle). Then the hose will roll up in the reel by itself. Lead the
hose until it is entirely rolled up (do not let go!).
