13. Disinfection, Cleaning, Sterilization
– Wear protective gloves.
– Disinfect and clean the motor
immediately after every treatment!
– Sterilize the motor following disinfection and cleaning.
– Motor with cable and motor support must be sterilized prior to every use.
Control unit, foot control, handle
Manual disinfection and cleaning
The front panel of the control unit is sealed and may be wiped clean.
– Remove handle from the foot control.
– Remove pedal from the foot control (see Page 16).
– If heavily soiled: Clean first with disinfectant cloths.
– Disinfect using surface disinfectants; spray disinfection is recommended.
– Use certified surface disinfectants (e.g. DGHM-tested).
For USA:
Use EPA registered surface disinfectants.
– Note the action times of the disinfectants used!
– Reassembly of foot control (see Page 17).
