8.1
Furnishing in the radiation range
In the visible range (radiation range) of the fire, a spacing of
at least 80 cm
(dimension A),
measured from the front edge of the firebox opening, must be kept for flammable components,
furniture or decorative materials, for example. The safety spacing reduces to
40 cm
(dimension B)
if a ventilated radiation screen is assembled in front of the component to be
shielded.
8.2
Furnishing exterior to the radiation area
All flammable components, furniture or decorative materials, for example, in the proximity of the
stove have to be protected against the influence of heat.
The standing walls that are lateral and behind the stove may not be made of flammable
components, or lined with flammable components if a lateral spacing of at least
20 cm
and rear
spacing of
20 cm
is not maintained. Likewise, the lateral spacing to furniture made of wood or
synthetic material must be
20 cm
.
8.3
Floor below and in front of the stove
Flooring made of flammable materials such as carpets, parquet or cork
below the stove
and
in front of the firebox opening
must be replaced or protected by a coating of inflammable
materials, e.g. ceramics, stone, glass or a base plate of steel,
at least 50 cm towards the
front
and
at least 30 cm towards the side
above the firebox opening (not the outer edge of
the stove, but inner edge of the firebox opening).
No additional heat insulation is necessary below the stove; a supportable and fire-proof
base is adequate
since there is no downward heat dissipation.
8.4
Objects in the area of the air inlet and circulation openings
All air inlets and outlets have to be completely accessible at all times and may not be blocked
or covered up:
Risk of overheating for the stove!
In the area of hot air outlets, flammable objects must have a
spacing of at least 80 cm (di-
mension A)
. If they have
back-ventilated radiation screening
they must exhibit a
minimum
spacing of 40 cm (dimension B)
.
8.5
Spacing from the connection components (flue pipe)
Connection components must be connected firmly in a sealed manner both on the stove and
one between the other. They may not protrude in the free chimney cross-section. The
connection component between the stove and the chimney should have the same cross-section
as the pipe support at the stove. Horizontal connection components longer than 0.5 m must
have an inclination of 10° towards the chimney. Pipes that are not designed in a heat-insulating
or vertical manner may not be longer than 1 meter.
The
dimension X
(spacing to the flammable construction materials /
general materials) must be met according to the specifications of the
manufacturer of the connection component.
