Safety instructions
The application of this operating instruction does not release the operator from the observation
of any applicable occupational safety regulation, e.g. the Operational Safety Regulation.
The operator of the air blower must perform its duty of care by planning measures for ensuring a
proper operation and by controlling implementation.
Hazard Notes
- No air blower is admitted for air cleaning of dirt particles on clothes, glasses, gloves or similar
on the body. Despite nozzles formed to markedly reduce the risks and hazards when dealing
with the energy source air, direct body contact must be avoided because severe injuries may
occur.
- When working with air blowers well fitting safety glasses must be worn (also by nearby
persons) because chips or other coarse material are moved with much

- Never use oxygen, flammable gases or halogenated hydrocarbons as energy .
- Check all connections and hoses for tight fit and serviceability. Loose hoses may be a risk of
severe injury.
- Prior to adjustment works, fault clearance and long-term non-use as well as maintenance
works disconnect the air blower from the pressure source.
- Air blowers must not be diverted from its intended use or rebuilt. Only use original equipment.
Not recommended equipment has a risk potential
- Do not use the device when it does not work properly or when it was damaged. Do not try to
repair it on your own.
The operator must in particular ensure that
- the air blower is used only according to the intended use.
- the air blower is operated in a perfect working condition.
- persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities do not use the air blower unless when
supervised and trained by an advisor.
- any and all parts of the sets are kept out of the reach of children. The air blower is no toy.
- the operating instruction is at all times available to the operating personnel in a complete and
legible state.
- the operating personnel is familiar with the safety notes and principle of operation of the air
blower.
- The nozzles may develop a very high noise level (90dB(A)).
In general, for air-cleaning of blind holes or blowing against edges it is known that indefinable
noise frequencies can occur that may damage the hearing.
To prevent any such, ear protectors must be worn for long lasting works without interruption.
