Millivolt Calibration:
Used to calibrate the mV measurement capabilities of the meter.
This is performed by inserting known millivolt signals via copper wires to the DST400
input connector. If this calibration is going to be performed, it must be performed before
the Cold Junction Calibration, as Millivolt Calibration will alter the Cold Junction
Calibration.
Cold Junction Calibration:
Used to calibrate the Cold Junction Compensation
correction for a given thermocouple type. This is performed by using a Thermocouple
Simulator to insert a 25°C equivalent signal, via thermocouple wire of the selected type,
to the DST400 input connector. This calibration must be performed after changing
thermocouple type.
Existing Thermocouple Calibration Settings
Factory
– These settings are the default settings and can only be set at the factory.
Restore Factory Settings
– This button loads the “Active” settings registers with the
current values displayed under the “Factory” settings. This is used in the event the
“Active” settings have been corrupted by invalid calibration.
NOTE:
Restoring the Factory settings will cause the current active settings to be
deleted. A new calibration will need to be performed if new “Active” settings need to be
acquired.
