Port Configuration
EtherCAT
®
Master
The EtherCAT
®
master
configures the 765 Series
module.
The EtherCAT
®
master sets the parameter selected by
the user on the basis of the parameters in the XML file
WAGO_series765.xml
. These parameters configure
each individual port and determine whether the port is
used as a digital input or digital output (or is disabled).
WAGO I/O Field Web-
server
–
Yes
WAGO I/O Field App
–
Yes
Note
Parameters via EtherCAT
®
are always rewritten upon restart
Each time EtherCAT
®
communication starts up, the master transfers the configuration
and parameters to the module. Port configuration parameters that were set by the WAGO
I/O Field Webserver, the WAGO I/O Field app or the OPC UA client are overwritten.
If you have changed parameters of the port configuration via the WAGO I/O Field Web-
server, the WAGO I/O Field app or the OPC UA Client, please note that these changes
are initially applied by the module, but the EtherCAT
®
master overwrites the port configu-
ration again the next time it starts up. If you want to change parameters of the port config-
uration, set them in the configuration software of the EtherCAT
®
master.
