the gas sensor that can change the sensitivity and / or selectivity of the sensor. Reduced
sensitivity, unstable calibration or false detections can be possible consequences.

•

Sensitive Electronics :

Handle the HRD 92 with care and avoid shock or fall. Check that

the device is not damaged before each use. Do not hold the trace gas leak detector cell on
a gas cylinder valve and open the gas cylinder. The hole in the leak detector's detection cell
must always be kept clean and free of oil or grease.

•

Repairs, cleaning and maintenance :

Interventions on the device as well as maintenance

and repair work are only allowed to be carried out by the manufacturer's after-sales service
or by competent specialists . In case of non-observation, the device may be damaged. Any
unauthorized intervention exposes the user to a risk, threatens the safe operation of the
device and restricts warranty rights. The activities described in the chapter "MAINTENANCE
AND MAINTENANCE" are an exception.

•

Batteries  Pack  :

This  device  has  Ni-MH  batteries.  Do  not try  to disassemble,  open  or

maintain the pack ba tterie. Do not crush, pierce, throw into fire or water the battery pack.
Do not store above 60 ° C.

•

Accessories / Spare Parts :

Only use accessories and spare parts from the manufacturer.

Do  not  dispose  of  your  electronic  device  with  household  waste.  Return  it  to
VULKAN  Company  at  the  end  of  its  useful  life.  In  accordance  with  Directive
2002/96 / EC on WEEE, we provide separate collection for environmentally friendly
treatment.

PRECAUTIONS OF USE

•

The detector must be charged before first use.

•

To prevent

clogging of the suction pipe

, do not allow the pipe to come into contact with

water, grease or other dirt.

•

Replace  regularly  and  as  often  as  necessary  the  fiber  filter  that  is  accessible  after

unscrewing the sniffer pipe.

•

Beware of foaming products

for testing "to the bubble test", Whose residues can be

sucked by the device and which are often corrosive. Clean the points to be checked (wipe
with a cloth to remove various dirt, condensation, grease).

•

Beware of silicone oils

which may desensitize irredeemably the detection cell.

•

Attention

the detector is studied for the optimal detection of leaks lower than

10 g / year

(about

1 mg / hour

 ).
