Axle transducer on a leaf spring
Select a position to install the transducer on a single axle leaf spring where:
• The transducer is mounted to the top side of
the spring
• The transducer is parallel to the orientation of
the chassis
• The transducer is as far as possible from the
axle. It can be mounted to the front or rear of
the spring with the cable running away from
the axle
• The transducer is not at risk of damage from
any part on the vehicle throughout the full
range of movement of the spring
• The cable can be routed to the junction box without risk of damage from any moving parts and
allowing for the full range of movement of the transducer on the spring
When mounting the sensor, ensure it is in the correct orientation, with the groove at the top.
