Cassette opening
Insert the cassette in the slot with the wider
part to the right.
TAPE Side A
appears in the
display.
When one side is finished, the cassette play-
er automatically plays back the other side
(auto reverse).
To play a cassette that is already in the cas-
sette player, turn the
SOURCE
knob or press
the
TAPE
shortcut key.
Changing tape direction
Press the
REV
button in order to play the
other side of the cassette; the side being
played will be shown in the display.
Cassette eject
If you press the button, the
tape stops and the cassette
is ejected. Turn the
SOURCE
knob to select a
new programme source.
The cassette can be insert-
ed or ejected even if the
system is switched off.
Dolby B Noise Reduction
This is a preset function which can be
switched off as follows: press and hold the
REV
button until the Dolby symbol disap-
pears from the
display. Press the same
button again in order to reactivate the Dolby
function.

Scanning
Scan plays the first ten sec-
onds of each track.
Press the
SCAN
or
EXIT
button when you find a
track you wish to listen to.
Fast forward/reverse
The tape is fast forwarded
by pressing and holding
and is rewound with
.
"
FF
" (fast forward) or
"
REW
" (rewind) is shown in
the display during this time.
Press the button again to stop fast forward-
ing/rewinding.
Next track – Previous track
Pressing
automatically fast forwards the
tape to the next track.
Pressing
automatically rewinds the tape
to the previous track. For this function to be
operational, there must be a five second
pause between tracks.
If the car is equipped with a steering wheel
keypad, the arrows can also be used.
