Integrated booster cushions (option)
Volvo’s integrated booster cushions for the
outer rear seats are specially designed to
provide optimum safety for children. Com-
bined with the regular seatbelts, the booster
cushions are approved for children weighing
between 15 and 36 kg.
Folding out the booster cushion
– fold down the booster cushion.
– pull apart the Velcro.
– raise the upper portion back into place.
Check that:
• the seatbelt is in contact with the child’s
body and is not slack or twisted.
• the belt lies correctly over the shoulder.
• the lap belt is low over the pelvis for
optimum protection.
• the belt does not touch the child’s throat
or lie below the shoulder.
• Carefully adjust the position of the head
restraint to suit the child.
WARNING
Never place a child in a child seat or on a
booster cushion in the front seat if the air-
bag (SRS) is activated.
No one shorter than 140 cm should sit in
the front passenger seat if the airbag (SRS)
is activated.
1
Failure to follow the advice given above can
endanger the life of the child.

For information on activated/deactivated airbag
(SRS) see page 16.
