Unlocking the boot lid with the master
key
The master key should be used when unlock-
ing the boot lid manually during emergencies
only, e.g. if the remote control does not func-
tion or the car is without power. Open the
boot lid as follows:
– Insert the master key into the upper or
lower section of the lid covering the lock.
– Twist up or down in order to prise the lid
off.
– Unlock the boot lid.
Service locking, boot lid (certain
countries)
This function is beneficial if the car is left for
service, with a hotel parking valet or the like.
The service key is left with the staff, who can
open and drive the car but do not have ac-
cess to the boot lid (or the glovebox if it is
locked with the master key).
To activate service locking
– Turn the master key to position
II
.
– Press the button. An LED in the button
lights when the function is activated and a
message is shown in the display.
To deactivate service locking
– Turn the master key to position
II
and
press the button again.
