Where Volvo Warranties Apply
The Warranties described in this booklet ap-
ply to new 2013 model year Volvo passenger
vehicles used for non-commercial purposes
(i.e., personal/family use). The vehicle must
have been originally sold by Volvo Cars of
North America, LLC,
1
or Volvo Cars of Cana-
da Corp.

and registered and operated in any
of the 50 states of the U.S., the District of Co-
lumbia, any territories or commonwealths of
the United States, or any territories or prov-
inces of Canada. Any remaining portion of
the warranties is fully transferable to subse-
quent owners free-of-charge.
Previously Owned Volvos
If you have purchased a previously owned
Volvo and the New Vehicle Warranty has not
expired, you are entitled to the remaining
portion of that warranty. Please refer to pag-
es 26 and 27 of this booklet for information
on how to provide the changed ownership in-
formation.
Warranty Repairs
Warranty repairs which are required as a re-
sult of defects in material or workmanship,
and are brought to the attention of an autho-
rized Volvo retailer by an owner, will be per-
formed by an authorized Volvo retailer only at
no charge during the warranty period.
To obtain repairs under warranty, contact an
authorized Volvo retailer and explain the con-
dition. We recommend your selling retail fa-
cility as they are most familiar with your car,
its service history, and your driving habits.
Have the maintenance records section of this
booklet and service records available.
Diagnosis and evaluation of the symptoms
and conditions will be made by any autho-
rized Volvo retailer.
Only repairs/diagnosis deemed by the retail-
er to be covered under warranty will be made
within a reasonable period of time during
normal business hours.
Parts will be re-
paired or replaced by an authorized Volvo
retailer only, using genuine Volvo new or
remanufactured parts or software, at Vol-
vo's discretion.
These are the recommend-
ed parts for your Volvo. They meet the same
design and quality standards as those com-
ponents originally installed in your vehicle. All
parts replaced will become the property of
Volvo for technical material analysis or other
usage.
Repairs required because of damage, mis-
use, abuse, collision, normal wear and tear,
incomplete or improper maintenance are not
covered by the warranties. Also, specific
items noted within each section of the war-
ranties under "What Is Not Warranted" are
excluded and will not be considered.
Owner’s Responsibilities:

nance requirements:

maintenance services including (without
limitation), items listed for your model's
