Product Description
The universal charger P400-LCD is intended for charging
rechargeable NiCd or NiMH storage batteries of the types Mono (C)
Baby (D) Mignon (AA) and Micro (AAA) as well as 9-V block storage
batteries which comply with the charging current specified in the
Technical Data. In order to avoid the memory effect, NiCd storage
batteries will be automatically discharged just after they have been
inserted into the charging device. The processor-controlled charging
of batteries takes place according to the "Minus Delta U" procedure.
This means that each battery, independent from its charging state,
will be fully charged (100 %) without being overcharged as soon as it
has been inserted into the charging device. Due to the fact that each
storage battery type reacts differently, the device is equipped with
single compartment monitoring – each storage battery will be
individually charged up to its maximum capacity (with the exception
of 9V storage battery blocks). The storage batteries must not be
removed from the device after the charging procedure has been
completed. The trickle charge compensates for self-discharging of
the storage batteries and prevents battery overcharging.
Furthermore, with this device so-called RAM cells can also be
charged. These cells are charged via a constant voltage. The
charging end voltage of 1.73 V or the 1.69 V open circuit voltage of
the RAM cells initiates the end of the charging procedure.

Maniement
Alimentation en courant
Déterminez l'alimentation en courant souhaitée. Vous pouvez choisir
entre l'adaptateur secteur pour les prises de courant de 100 à 240
VAC et un adaptateur allume-cigarettes 12VDC/1A.
Branchez l'adaptateur secteur à une prise de courant ou l'adaptateur
allume-cigarettes à la prise allume-cigarettes dans la voiture.
Introduisez la fiche DC de l'adaptateur secteur ou d'un autre
adaptateur dans la douille d'entrée DC (8) sur la face avant du
chargeur universel P400-LCD. Si l'adaptateur secteur fonctionne, la
LED Power rouge (3) s'allume. Si la LED ne s'allume pas, contrôlez
l'alimentation en courant.
