To insert/replace the batteries in the DMM, proceed
as follows:
- Disconnect the measuring device from all measuring cir-
cuits and turn it off.
- Remove the protective rubber frame (12) from the device.
- Undo the screws on the battery compartment cover (11)
and remove the cover.
- Place new batteries into the battery compartment observing
the correct polarity.
- Now close the housing carefully again.

To insert/replace the batteries in the remote unit,
proceed as follows:
- Disconnect all measuring cables from the device and switch it off.
- Undo the screw of the battery compartment cover (15) and remove the cover.
- Place a new battery into the battery compartment, observing the correct polarity.
- Now close the housing carefully again.
Never operate the measurement device when it is open.
!RISK OF FATAL INJURY!
Do not leave flat batteries in the device. Even batteries protected against leaking can corrode and
thus release chemicals which may be detrimental to your health or destroy the battery compartment.
Do not leave batteries lying around carelessly. They might be swallowed by children or pets. If
swallowed, contact a physician immediately!
If you do not intend to use the device for longer periods of time, remove the batteries to prevent
leaking.
Leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns when getting into contact with skin. Therefo-
re, use suitable protective gloves.
Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited. Do not throw batteries into fire!
Batteries may not be recharged or dismantled. Danger of explosion!
