Altimeter function
The altimeter function mode displays the current altitude in the selected unit. Without a
connection to the Balloon Live App, the barometric altitude will be displayed. The barometric
altitude can be adjusted to a known altitude by long pressing the
OK/mode/config
button for about 3s. The current altitude will start
flashing to indicate that it can now be adjusted with the Selection up
or the Selection down
buttons. When the correct altitude is set, the
adjustment can be confirmed with the OK/mode/config
button or by
waiting for 30s. Adjusting the local altitude will also adjust the QNH for the
device.
When connected to the Balloon Live App, the displayed altitude will either
be the barometric altitude or the GPS altitude, depending on the flight
settings transmitted by the Balloon Live App.
Barometric pressure
The normal display for the barometric pressure function is the pressure at the current altitude
(QFE), not the pressure at mean sea level (QNH). The QNH can be
adjusted to a known pressure by long pressing the OK/mode/config
button for about 3s. The current QNH will start flashing to indicate that it
can now be adjusted with the Selection up
or the Selection down
buttons. When the correct pressure is set, the adjustment can be
confirmed with the OK/mode/config
button or by waiting for 30s.
Adjusting the QNH will also adjust the local altitude for the device.
When connected to the Balloon Live App, the QNH will be set to the value
that is set in the flight settings of the Balloon Live App.
Clock
The clock can be adjusted to the local time zone by long pressing the OK/mode/config
button for about 3s. The current time will start flashing to indicate that it
can now be adjusted with the Selection up
or the Selection down
buttons. The selection buttons will move through the existing time zones
either to the west or the east, usually by an hour, but the time will also
step through time zones that use fractions of an hour. When the correct
time zone is displayed, the adjustment can be confirmed with the
OK/mode/config
button or by waiting for 30s.
When connected to the Balloon Live App, the time zone information will
be set to the value that is set in the flight settings of the Balloon Live App.
