Application of RF keys
and
or
MHz provides enhanced security against
unauthorized management of the access control system. For this purpose the doorstation has a PIN-code, which
is recorded into RF keys memory during key binding, when keys are bound to a certain doorstation. If RF keys
memorized in the Control Unit are not bound to the doorstation, they will not be supported by the doorstation as
access keys
Furthermore key binding allows making of duplicate RF keys
by the service company
To start the binding procedure a MASTER-key will be required, or a service personnel password.
A MASTER-key also allows change of a PIN-code and service personnel password, thus providing full management
of the access control system. MASTER-keys shall be kept safe, for instance, with head of the service company or
other entrusted person.
If the doorstation PIN-code has been changed, key binding shall be done again. Otherwise, the RF keys previously
memorized in the Control Unit will be no longer supported as access keys.

Preparation for operation involves certain settings, which are advised to be performed before installing the doorstation
on site (e.g., at the service company quarters)
If there is no need in enhanced security against unauthorized management of the access control system, the
programming procedure shall be skipped, and the doorstation PIN-code must remain as
(the default setting).
In this case the RF keys memorized in the Control Unit will be supported as access keys automatically, without the binding
procedure.
Memorizing of two MASTER-keys is available. MASTER-keys allow change of
settings of the doorstation. For this
purpose RF keys
or
may be used. MASTER-keys for different doorstations may be memorized
with use of the same keys
or
It is important to memorize two MASTER-keys, in case one of the keys is lost.
The PIN code is an 8-digit code of the doorstation, which is bound to RF keys. The PIN-code may be changed with
the MASTER-key. If the PIN-code is
default the procedure of key binding shall be skipped.
After the PIN-code has been changed, the RF keys bound to the old PIN-code are no longer supported as access
keys.
The password is required for RF key binding on site without the MASTER-key, or for change of the service personnel
password. The default setting is 0000 0000.
The key binding procedure involves recording of service data into RF key memory, the data corresponding to the
PIN-code of the doorstation. RF key memory allows binding to 7
PIN-codes. Later on during key binding, the data
on the last (the seventh) PIN-code is deleted to be replaced with the new data.
Key binding is done after RF keys have been memorized in the Control Unit. Order of key memorizing is described in the
operating instruction on Control Unit, and is similar to RF keys 125 kHz memorizing.
Connect the doorstation to the Control Unit Make sure that the Control Unit’s power is off.
Connect

terminal of the Control Unit see the note on Figure
Switch the Control Unit on. The doorstation LED is showing
Approach an RF key close to the key reader. A short beep sounds, the LED is showing
then another short beep sounds, and the LED is showing
has been memorized.
Switch the Control Unit off, and disconnect PRG wire from GND terminal.
If after application of the RF key the LED keeps displaying , it means that an error occurred during key
memorizing. Approach the RF key close to the reader once more.
