WARNING
Alkaline Batteries – insert alkaline batteries as shown:
5-Watt = 8 x D Cells
10-watt = 12 x D Cells
5.2.3 Re-fitting the Battery Tray
To close the battery tray – slide the transmitter (TX) onto the tray, it will locate itself in the correct position, then close the
catches.
FUSE
Push up button underneath the catch – while holding that up push
in the bottom of the catch until you hear a positive “click”.
5.2.4 Rechargeable Batteries
Do not
attempt to replace the rechargeable batteries or remove battery covers – return to Vivax-Metrotech or a Vivax-Metrotech
approved service centers for replacement.
WARNING
Use only Vivax-Metrotech recommended charger.
5.2.5 Rechargeable Battery Pack Charging and Disposal
Follow instructions detailed in the General Safety & Care Information section of this document, which also describes battery disposal.
Only use the battery charger supplied. Using an unapproved charger may damage the battery pack and could cause overheating.
Two chargers are available:
- Standard mains charger
- Optional 12V vehicle charger
To charge, the rechargeable batteries pack can be connected to the transmitter or charged separately. Connect the mains
charger or vehicle charger to the charging socket on the side of the transmitter, or the internal charging socket which can be
found on the battery pack when it is detached from the transmitter, and connect the charger to a suitable mains socket/vehicle
cigarette lighter socket.
The LED on the charger will show a red light indicating that the charge cycle is in progress. When the batteries are fully charged
the LED will change to green.
NOTE
It is possible to operate the transmitter while it is charging.
