Preventive maintenance
The water quality in the water tank must be serviced regularly.
We strongly recommend using conventional municipal tap water because
Tap water contains chlorine and other chemicals that protect the tank from bacteria, algae and
protect the like.
Chlorine decomposes with light: under direct sunlight, the decomposition time of chlorine is about 6
months; under artificial lighting conditions, the decomposition time of chlorine is about 2 years. Under
normal circumstances, a cleaning tablet (or a water blue agent) is placed in the water tank every 6
months.
If the water begins to deteriorate, immediately put a cleaning tablet (or a water blue agent) in the tank.
If the water becomes cloudy, we recommend emptying the tank, rinsing it with water, refilling tap water
and adding a cleaning tablet.
Do not add chlorine bleach to the tank as this can irreparably damage the polycarbonate tank.
