if every moving parts are rotating

properly, without abnormal noises nor

sparks;

 Check if the safety devices are

in perfect conditions and working

correctly. Never use the machine if

any safety device  is missing, inhibited,

damaged or worn;

 If the button is damaged or doesn’t

allow to control the machine’s operation,

it must be repaired or replaced in order

to prevent an unintentional start;

Perform all the needed adjustments

and in case of doubts ask your

distributor for assistance.

2.4 - WHILE OPERATING

Keep other people away from

the workspace. Never use the

machine if animals or people,

particularly children, are nearby.

Keep the workspace clean, organized

and well illuminated (brightness from

250 to 300 lux), in order to reduce

the risk of accidents.

Always wear personal protective

equipment. Using protection glasses,

a P2 protection mask, ear protection,

non-slip safety footwear, gloves and

helmet under proper conditions,

reduces the risk of injury.

The clothing worn while operating

the machine must be appropriate and

tight, such as a work coverall. Do not

wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep

hair, clothing and gloves away from the

moving parts.

The control and safety devices installed

in the machine must not be removed or

inhibited.

To avoid the risk of accidents, the

following precautions must be

considered:

 The rotating accessories’ rated speed

shall be, at least, equal to the maximum

speed indicated in the technical

specifications of the machine;

 When using the machine, place

yourself in a stable position and well

balanced. Hold the equipment firmly

with both hands to ensure a continuous

operation and to withstand unexpected

situations, such as a kickback;

The kickback is a sudden reaction

that happens when the machine is

switched on and the rotating accessory

gets stuck or is pressed. The kickback

causes an instantly reversing movement

of the equipment.

The kickback occurs due to an

incorrect use of the machine or due to

a not proper working procedure which

can cause serious injuries to the user.

To avoid the kickback, the following

precautions must be considered:

- Place and keep the rotating accessory

in the right position and well tightened;

- Do not place yourself in the area

where the machine will move in case of

a kickback;

When the rotating accessory gets

stuck, switch off the machine.

 Never place your hands near the

rotating accessory once it may revert

over them. Keep your hands away from

the rotating accessories;

 Make sure that the ventilation grids

are not blocked while operating the

machine. Do not place any objects over

the grids;

 The drills and the machine itself may

get hot during the work. Any accidental

contact may burn;

 Make sure that you don’t damage the

electrical circuits, gas and water pipes

when operating the equipment. Any

of these damages may cause fires,

explosions, electrical shocks or several

expensive losses;

 Avoid using the machine on surfaces

coated with paints containing lead or

other materials harmful to health. Any

contact or inhalation of dust may cause

allergic reactions and / or breathing

diseases. Wear a mask and work with

a dust extraction device if the machine

allows it.

 Materials containing asbestos cannot

be worked. Asbestos is carcinogenic.

2.5 - MAINTENANCE

AND CLEANING

Before cleaning, adjusting, repairing

and maintenance works, remove the

battery.

Replace worn or damaged parts

immediately, so that the machine is

always in a safe operating condition.

Cleaning:

Keep the equipment clean and dry, oil,

lubricant and grease free. Clean every

component and accessory after each

use.

Do not use aggressive cleaning

products. These products may damage

plastics and metals, compromising the

safe operation of the machine.

Maintenance:

Only maintenance works described in

this instruction manual may be carried

out; all other works must be performed

by an official distributor.

Keep all nuts and screws well tightened

in order to ensure a safe operation.

If any components or safety devices are

removed for maintenance works, they

must be repositioned immediately.

Use only VITO-approved tools for this

machine or technically identical parts.

Not doing so may result in personal

injuries or damages to the machine. In

case of doubt, you should contact an

official distributor.
