•
When unplugging the unit, pull the plug but not
the cord.
•
Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
•
Provide that the power cord does not contact
with hot surfaces and sharp furniture edges.
•
Do not wind the power cord around the unit
body.
•
Check the power cord insulation integrity from
time to time.
•
If the power cord is damaged, it should be
replaced by the manufacturer, a maintenance
service or similar qualified personnel to avoid
danger.
•
Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not disas-
semble the unit by yourself, if any malfunction is
detected or after it was dropped, unplug the unit
and apply to any authorized service center from
the contact address list given in the warranty
certificate and on the website www.vitek.ru.
•
Transport the unit in the original package only.
•
Keep the unit out of reach of children and dis-
abled persons.
THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE
ONLY. ITS COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE
IN PRODUCTION AREAS AND WORK SPACES IS
PROHIBITED.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
After unit transportation or storage at low tem-
perature keep it for at least three hours at room
temperature.
ATTENTION! The convention fan heater is intended
only for additional heating of rooms. It is not meant
for operation as main heating unit.
•
Unpack the unit.
•
Check the unit for damages, do not use it in case
of damages.
•
Make sure that the unit operating voltage corre-
sponds to the voltage of your mains.
•
Make sure that the operation mode switch (5) is
set to the position «
0
» (the unit is switched off).
SETTING
Option 1 – Stand mode
•
Turn the unit over. Combine openings on the
support plates (1) with wheels with relevant
openings in the lower part of the convection fan
heater body (pic.1).
•
Fix the support plates (1) with wheels using
screws for fastening the support plates (pic. 2).
•
Turn the unit over and set it on the wheels.
Option 2 – Wall mounting
Attention! Before drilling a hole in the wall, make
sure that there is no electrical wiring at this place.
•
When mounting the unit on the wall, ensure that
the mains socket is below the level of the unit
and easy to access. Keep the following gaps:
between floor and unit – not less than 15 cm,
between front / upper panels and objects –
not less than 45 cm, between side panels and
objects – not less than 25 cm (pic. 7).
•
Support plates (1) with wheels are not used for
wall mounting of the convection fan heater.
•
First mark holes on the wall (pic. 3).
•
Drill the holes in the wall to the required depth.
•
Insert the dowels into the drilled holes (pic. 4)
and drive the screws in them for mounting the
fan heater (pic. 5).
•
Hang the fan heater (pic. 6).
USING THE FAN HEATER
•
Before switching the unit on, make sure that
your home mains voltage corresponds to the
unit operating voltage, and the switch (5) is in
the position «
0
» (the unit is switched off).
•
Insert the power plug into the mains socket.
•
Set the operation mode switch (4) into the nec-
essary position:
–
0
– the fan heater is switched off,
–
I
– minimum heating power,
–
II
– maximum heating power.
•
The indicator (3) will light up.
•
You may set the required room air heating level
from minimum to maximum value (
MIN
/
MAX
)
by turning the thermostat control knob (4).
•
When the room temperature reaches the
required value, slowly turn the thermostat con-
trol knob (4) counterclockwise until the indica-
tor (3) goes out. The preset temperature will
be maintained automatically. If the room tem-
perature is lower than the temperature set on
the thermostat (4), the unit will be switched to
the heating mode. When the preset tempera-
ture is reached, the unit will be switched to the
standby mode, once the air in the room cools
down, the unit will be switched to the heating
mode again.
•
To switch the unit off set the thermostat control
knob (4) to the position «
MIN
» and set the switch
(5) to the position «
0
» and then unplug the unit.
Notes:
–
While the first switching on the heating element
burns, therefore occurrence of a small amount
of smoke or foreign smell is possible. It is nor-
mal.
–
Do not open windows and doors when the unit is
operating; otherwise you will not get the desired
results, due to cold air inflow.
WARNING! Do not cover the heater to avoid
overheating.
