• Remove the cover of the battery compartment on the side of the unit.
• Remove the old batteries from the device and insert the new ones.
Please ensure correct polarity (marking in battery compartment).
• Close the battery compartment by clipping the battery cover back into
the device.
When the “empty battery ” symbol first appears in the display, you are
still able to take around 30 measurements. Please replace the batteries
within this time frame.
5. Inserting/replacing batteries, battery icon
To activate the date/time function, press the Start/Stop button and then
immediately, while the full display is visible, the Memory button. This func-
tion can be deactivated at any time in the same way.
The four-digit number representing the year appears in the
display first (Figure 1). Press the Memory button to set the
year. Press the Start/Stop button to confirm the selected
year and proceed to setting the date (Figure 2).
To change the date and time, take the bat-
teries out and wait until the display goes
off. Then re-insert the batteries and reset the date and time.
When the date/time function is activated, the device continues to display
the time even when it is switched off. The power consumption for this is
extremely low.

After replacing the batteries, you will have to reset the date and time.
The special double-preformed comfort cuff is easy to attach and ensures
a perfect fit during measurement. The materials used are tested for skin
compatibility according to ISO 10993.
• Clear the wrist from all clothing or watches/jewellery since this may
disturb the blood flow in the arm as it may impair the blood pressure
at the place of measurement.
7. Attaching the cuff
Set the month with the Memory button and
confirm this with the Start/Stop button. Set
the day, hours and minutes in the same way
(Figure 2, Figure 3).
• Slide the device onto the centre of the inside
of the forearm, directly on the wrist. The palm
of your hand should be facing upwards. The
distance between the wrist and the upper
edge of the cuff should be 5–10 mm.
• Fasten the cuff using the hook and loop fastening.
The shape of the cuff is optimized to sit very tightly in order to avoid pos-
sible measurement errors.
