1.
Set Input Config to either Diversity, External ASI or Div Ext. ASI,
or Demodulator-1, as required.
2.
Set Output Config to either Diversity, External ASI, Div Ext. ASI
or Demodulator-1, as required.
NOTE: The decoder and demodulator can be operated independently.
Typically this can be used in cellular diversity applications, where a
single demodulated ASI signal is taken via the ASI OUT connector, to a
Vislink Diversity Packet Switch. The Packet diversity corrected output
can then be fed back into the ASI IN for decoding. Contact Customer
Support for further information.
7.9.
Configuring Video Decoding
The Video Decoder can be operated in different modes, which need to be set
by the operator (it will not automatically switch modes). Configure these
settings using the Settings>Decoder>Low Latency menu option, see
Section
1.
Set Standard to either MPEG2 (SD and HD), H.264 (SD and HD) or HEVC
UHD (H.265), or HEVC dual HD, as required.
2.
Set Format Mode to either Auto (detection of incoming video) or Manual,
as required.
3.
Set Force to PsF as required.
4.
Set system Delay as Standard or Low to help with smooth decoding.
5.
Set HDR Mode to Auto.
6.
Set the Output Format for the video stream, either 2SI or Quad Split.
7.
Set the output required on Video Loss.
7.10.
Deinterleaving
The Quantum Receiver has a licensable deinterleaving option, to match the
interleaving option in the Vislink transmitter. This option adds an extra layer of
error correction to the ASI data steam that allows long breaks in RF reception
to be corrected.
In the transmitter, you can select the amount of FEC used and the duration of
RF break that can be corrected. When enabled, the receiver automatically
detects these settings and adjusts deinterleaving appropriately. The settings are
displayed for information but cannot be altered. Adding interleaving to an ASI
stream reduces the ASI bit rate available for video/audio, etc., and adds a delay
to the signal.
7.11.
Configuring Decryption
Various decryption options are available depending on the licence options
purchased for the receiver. Configure these settings using the
Settings>Global>Decryption menu option, see
Section 6.3.7.2 Decryption:
1.
Set Mode the required decryption algorithm to either Off, BISS 1, BISS E,
AES 128, AES 256, BCRYPT 128 or BCRYPT 256, as required.
2.
Enter the appropriate key either from the front panel or via Link Control
software running on a PC. For the AES keys these must be entered in two
(AES128) or four (AES256) 8 byte segments.
