Installing Cutters - Router Head

The router head uses a collet to hold the cutting tool in place. Shown below are the included items
needed to properly install a cutter into the collet.

There are two sizes of collets included with your machine; one for 1/4 inch diameter tool shanks and
one for 1/2 inch diameter tool shanks. The collet is held into the nut with a snap ring. To install the collet
into the nut, angle the collet into the nut and press down. Do not use excessive force. If the collet does
not snap into the nut when pressing down by hand, rotate the collet or change the angle of the collet and
press down again.
