A/C Duct Hose Installation

Attach a 48” length of 2 ½” duct hose to the lower adapter on the center louver plenum assembly, and route
the hose under the dash to the left side of the emergency brake (See Photos 1 & 2, below).
Attach a 48” length of 2 ½” duct hose to the upper adapter on the center louver plenum assembly, and route
the hose under the dash to the right (See Photo 3, below).
Evaporator Installation

Place the evaporator unit onto the passenger side floorboard, and plug the white connector on the blower
motor into the corresponding connector on the main wiring harness (See Photo 1, below).
Roll the evaporator unit under the dash, and bring the hardlines into the fresh air opening. NOTE: Make
sure the hardlines do not bend. Reinstall the center louver plenum assembly onto the evaporator
unit using (2) 10-32 x 1/2”screws (See Photos 2 & 3, below).
Insert the (3) 1/4-20 x 1 ½” studs through the fresh air vent opening mounting holes (See Photo 4, below).
Once the unit is in place, from the passenger compartment, turn the studs approximately 1/4”. From the
engine compartment, temporarily secure the unit using (3) 1/4-20 nuts with star washers.
NOTE: To ensure a watertight seal between the passenger compartment and the vehicle exterior, for
all bolts passing through the firewall, Vintage Air recommends coating the threads with silicone prior
to installation.
