Thermostat with display for ambient temperature control - 2 modules.
This device is suited to control room temperature (heating and air-conditioning). It can be
controlled by the control unit in “timer-thermostat” mode or manage a zone independently in
“thermostat” mode.
In a system (line) there may be 3 thermostats controlled by the control unit plus any number
(compatibly with the maximum number of devices the control unit can govern) of thermostats
operating independently.
CHARACTERISTICS.
• Rated supply voltage: BUS 29 V
• Input: 20 mA
• Terminals: TP BUS
• Displayed temperature: -5 °C - +40 °C
• Adjustment range:
- on heating: +5 °C - +30 °C
- on air conditioning: +10 °C - +35 °C
• Temperature differential: adjustable between 0.1 °C and 1.0 °C; default: 0.2 °C. The adjust-
ment is made by the control unit.
• ErP classification (Reg. EU 811/2013): class I, contribution 1%
CONFIGURATION.
FOR THE OPERATIONS OF INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION, SEE THE By-me
SYSTEM INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL ATTACHED TO THE CONTROL UNIT.
The thermostat must be configured with the control unit, in a group containing the relay dedicated to
climate control (circulation pumps, burners, solenoid valves).
• Functional blocks: 1 functional block.
• Selecting the functional block (configuration), when the control unit requires pressing the
device button: press
button A
on the thermostat (see “Front View” figure), the display will
show “CnF” until configuration is completed.
PARAMETERS.
The thermostat operating modes can be managed with the device buttons or the “climate”
menu of the control unit, except for the following parameters that can only be managed from
the control unit menu:
• normal/protected operation;
• heating/air-conditioning;
• temperature differential;
• setpoint adjustment interval, if in protected mode.
USING THE THERMOSTAT.
The thermostat operating modes are the following:
• off: used to switch off the system.
• timed off: used to switch off the system for as long as desired.
• forced off: used to force switching off the system with a message sent from the control unit.
This mode is possible if a contact interface (Eikon 20515; Arké 19515; Idea 16955; Plana
14515) belonging to the same thermostat group signals an open contact (open window, for
example). In this mode any setpoint values sent from the control unit in automatic operation
are ignored.
• antifreeze: used to set a minimum temperature level to avoid damage to pipework or prevent
the temperature from falling below a safety level.
• nighttime reduction: the thermostat sets a lower temperature (on heating) or higher tempera-
ture (on air conditioning) than the setting.
• timed nighttime reduction: used to set nighttime reduction operation for as long as desired.
• manual: used to set switching the system on and off manually.
• timed manual: used for manual operation for as long as desired.
• automatic: the temperature will be adjusted automatically according to the setpoint received
from the control unit.
With button
D
it is possible to select the thermostat operating mode, according to the type of
operation (normal or protected), as shown in the “Operating Mode” table.
• Key A:
Used to set a time for the selected operating mode. It
is also the configuration key.
•
Key B:
Decrease displayed value (temperature or time).
•
Key C:
Increase displayed value (temperature or time).
•
Key D:
Change operating mode.
DISPLAY.
- pressing
button D
cyclically scrolls through the operating modes;
- the display will blink, then set the temperature with buttons B and C (for manual, nighttime
reduction and antifreeze modes);
- while the display flashes it is possible to enable the time function (manual, nighttime reduction,
off) by pressing button A, setting the length of the timed function in hours with buttons B and
C; the confirmation of the setting is made automatically after approximately 3 seconds. At the
end of the set time, the thermostat will return to its prior operating mode.
INSTALLATION RULES.
Installation should be carried out observing current installation regulations for electrical systems
in the country where the products are installed.
For further instructions, please see the manual attached to the control panel.
