VAV : Potentiometer-type analogue input airflow control
In VAV mode, the airflow varies linearly, according to the voltage transmitted by the potentiometer, be
-
tween a min. airflow and a max. airflow to be set in the RMEC controller. Each voltage point transmitted by
the potentiometer corresponds to an airflow maintained constant irrespective of network pressure drops.
The potentiometer voltage range can be set.
Example with an REB ECOWATT
®
potentiometer
In the example, below, the user requires:
•
an extraction airflow of 360m
3
/h when the potentiometer sends a setting equal to or lower than 2V,
•
an extraction airflow of 1,080m
3
/h when the potentiometer sends a setting equal to or greater than
5.5V,
•
a linear extraction airflow between 360m3/h and 1,080m3/h between 2V and 5.5V

When your potentiometer is wired as defined in §"5.9 Electrical connection of a potentiometer (optional
accessory)", page 23, you must configure the RMEC controller following the instructions, below.
The required settings are as follows:
Selection of the type of sensor, in this case “potentiometer”
Selection of the desired potentiometer voltage range (min. voltage and max. voltage used in the appli-
cation case),
Selection of min. airflow and max. airflow
Settings possible at installer level only (§ "6.3 Access levels", page 25).
