USING YOUR JIGSAW
Your Villager Jigsaw has been designed to cut accurately though plastic, wood and
thin metals. It alows you to make straight or curved cuts when used in a DIY (Do It
Yourself) context or for hobbyist purposes, it is not built for continuous daily use in
a trade or professional capacity.
The shoe can be ftted up to 45° to the left or to the right allowing the Jigsaw to cut
at any angle between these two limits.
The Jigsaw is suppled with a hex key housed in an on board storage clip. This hex
key is the only tool requred to adjust the angle of the shoe and to fit or remove a
blade.
Before using the machine, carefully read these instructions, especialy the safety
rules to help ensure that your machine always operates properly.
Before attempting to operate tie machine, familiarise yourself with the controls
and make sure you know how to stop the machine quickly in an emergency.
Save these instructons and other documents supplied with this machine for future
reference.
Selecting the right Jigsaw blade
Your Jigsaw has the ability to use a number of different types of interchangeable
blades. The type of material cut, along with the desired qualty of finish, typicaly
determines the type of blade used.
Blade fitment type
There are basicaly two types of Jigsaw blade fitments: T-shaped (or bayonet) and
U-shaped (or universal). Your Villager Jigsaw utilises T-shaped fitments. Please
ensure that you purchase only this type, as U-shaped fitments blades cannot be
securely attached.
