3-9 PoE
3-9.1 Configuration
PoE is an acronym for Power over Ethernet. Power over Ethernet is used to transmit
electrical power to remote devices over standard Ethernet cable. For example, it
could be used for powering IP telephones, wireless LAN access points, and other
equipment where it would be difficult or expensive to connect the equipment to
main power supply.
This page allows the user to inspect and configure the current PoE port settings and
show all PoE Supply Watts.
Web Interface
To configure Power over Ethernet in the web interface:
1.
Click configuration.
2.
Specify the Reserved Power determined and Power Management ode.
Specify the PoE or PoE++ and Priority.
3.
Click “Apply”.
