Maintenance and
Troubleshooting
This chapter provides maintenance recommendations, as well as solutions to
common problems you may encounter when using the M2000 Digital Media
Center.
Care and Maintenance
Taking good care of your Media Center will ensure trouble-free operation and
reduce the risk of damage to the unit.
• Keep the Media Center away from excessive moisture and extreme
temperatures.
• Handle the Media Center with care when moving it.
• Do not block the Media Center’s air vents. If installed horizontally, be sure
to place the Media Center on it’s four rubber feet.
• Do not place heavy objects on the Media Center.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter a problem you cannot solve by following the Troubleshooting
steps listed below, contact ViewSonic Customer Support. See the “Customer
Support” section in this chapter.

Solution
You can not remove a CD
or DVD
• With the Media Center turned on, press the
eject button on the front of the Media Center.
• To manually eject the CD/DVD, use one of
your fingernails to open the CD/DVD door
(narrow opening along the side of the door
closest to the “V” of “ViewSonic.”). Then push
the flat grey button.
